PAIN RELIEF… Reflexology can be an effective choice of pain control as a chemical change takes place within the body during treatment. The body produces its own pain killers known as endorphins which are five to ten times more powerful than morphine. Endorphins are produced by the pituitary gland and can inhibit the transmission of pain signals through the spinal cord.
ANXIETY, STRESS AND TENSION….These are said to be responsible for many of our health problems. They can be described as a tourniquet around the body’s systems— a tightening that can lead to serious consequences. In order to keep the body at a normal balance, it is imperative that the blood and nerve supply to every organ and gland be at a maximum. As tension is eased, pressure on the nerves and vessels is replaced, thus improving the flow of blood with its oxygen rich nutrients to all parts of the body.
