The fifth toe is related to the element of earth. Earth shows your ability to utilize the material and physical aspects of this world which include money, security and family. Earth is the ground we walk on, and shows how practical we are as we walk through life. Earth is solid; a place to build stability and foundations. Earth is where your roots are planted and how connected or disconnected you are to the material world around you.
Earth is sensual. It needs to be touched, experienced and enjoyed.
Therefore pain and discomfort associated with the fifth toe could be related to:
A need for material security
A sense of disconnection from the physical world
Being slow to uproot and change on the physical level
Stubbornness, convention and holding on to the status quo
Self-discipline and cautiousness
Being of service to others, dependable and reliable
Persistence and having to work hard to achieve
Blisters are caused by pressure from an outside source. So, if there is a blister on this toe, it could mean that there is pressure from an outside source in relation one or some of the issues listed above.
It is quite common to fracture the fifth toe. This could be drawing attention to something that needs to be restructured in relation to your practical needs, your everyday duties, your family or your enjoyment of life. It’s always interesting to take notice of what is happening in your life when something like a fracture happens, as something has broken down and needs to be restructured.
If the fifth toe is long, it could indicate a strong sense of belonging, or a practical person who is prepared to work hard and keep the rules. If very short, it could mean overwhelmed by the family, little connection to money and physical security or not very worldly.
